Edinburg, NY – 23 October 2026 – Fox News reports the Essex County Sheriff’s Office has charged Josef Marris with two counts of criminal possession of stolen property after he was allegedly caught on video stealing Anthony Constantino for Congress signs while driving his employer’s vehicle. Marris has since been fired by East Branch Organics.
According to social media posts reviewed by Fox News, Marris has described himself as a communist and an Antifa supporter, and in April 2023 he posted the three-arrow symbol embraced by Antifa and the radical left.
The arrest comes as the Constantino campaign confronts a sustained wave of theft and vandalism targeting supporters across Upstate New York.
“My campaign has lost more than $100,000 to sign theft and vandalism,” Constantino said. “There are now multiple attempts to intimidate my supporters by people who are clearly pro-crime and pro-violence. The media needs to stop pretending this is a both-sides problem.”
The Constantino campaign has called on Democrat Blake Gendebien to answer for the extremists operating in his orbit. Gendebien’s campaign did not respond to Fox News’s request for comment.
