DEC reopens investigation into Blake Gendebien’s illegal dump in NY-21, likely fines estimated at $250,000 plus cleanup

Edinburg, NY – 26 October 2026 – The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has reopened its investigation of Blake Gendebien’s illegal dumping of potentially hazardous waste at his Twin Mill Farms property in Lisbon, St. Lawrence County.

Per Anthony Constantino, “DEC has reopened their investigation into Blake Gendebien's illegal dump site and disclosed that they have not yet tested the water. Blake's pollution is clear for all to see. No one is allowed to throw garbage including multiple tires into the water turning it neon green. New evidence also shows that Blake has been covertly trying to cover his tracks knowing this wasn't over. We all know that only a corrupt politician could even try to get away with polluting the land and water. Kathy Hochul, Paul Tonko and Hakeem Jeffries must say if they still support Blake ‘Litterbug’ Gendebien.”

The allegations originate from a sworn statement dated July 27, 2026, by a former Twin Mill Farms worker, who states that Gendebien instructed him to dump garbage, including dead cows, onto the land and into a waterway that drains toward the St. Lawrence River. Drone footage captured in July and August by Brooks Investigations Group, a licensed New York investigative firm, shows the dump site.

Constantino for Congress also retrieved government photos proving that the dump site developed a number of years with the water originally being blue before turning neon green. Analysis by Grok Heavy of the evidence claims it’s a clearly illegal dump. It also says the color of the water is congruent with the water being polluted by illegally dumped waste. Per Grok:

“The surrounding area is clearly an illegal dump site: piles of corrugated metal/sheet roofing, construction debris, tires (some already in the water), rocks, and other junk. This contributes nutrients and pollutants that fuel the bloom through eutrophication. Tires can leach metals and chemicals, while organic waste and runoff add more nitrogen/phosphorus. Stagnant water + nutrients + light = exactly the conditions for a heavy bloom.”

Grok also advised to “keep people and animals away” from Blake’s dump site as deemed this dump site hazardous to animals and humans as “some blooms (especially certain cyanobacteria) can produce toxins that are harmful to people, pets, and wildlife.” It further estimated “a realistic civil fine range of $50,000–$200,000+ for a dump of this visible scale near water, plus mandatory cleanup.”

A clean up expert previously estimated clean up costs of $250,000 meaning with likely fines, Blake Gendebien, is staring at a $500,000+ bill for illegally dumping. “Legal experts told me that this likely the primary reason why Blake Gendebien wouldn’t debate,” said Constantino. “If he lies on stage, his exposure gets much, much worse and he obviously can’t tell the truth.”
